For me, as long as the products capable to moisturize, then the hair manageability will definitely be improved. Thanks to the Kiehl’s assistant who kindly gave me samples of Amino Acid Conditioner and Heat-Protective Silk Straightening Cream, I guess he must be agreed in his mind that my hair looked dry and frizzy. HaHa.
Before sharing my review of Heat-Protective Silk Straightening Cream, here I’d like to share my sampling experience of Kiehl’s Amino Acid Conditioner.
As per Kiehl’s, the silicone-free Kiehl’s Amino Acid Conditioner imparts a healthy-looking shine to hair without weighing it down and helps maintain hair’s natural moisture balance. This is my first experience with silicone-free conditioner and I think it’s lovely! It has coconut smell and light texture. While most drugstore siliconed conditioners impart slippery-smooth and feathery-light feeling during hair rinsing, this Amino Acid Conditioner imparts feeling of abundant moisture and full resiliency. Furthermore, I usually need more hair rinsing for siliconed conditioner, this Kiehl’s makes the job much easier. Hair is moisturizing and extremely soft touching, though slightly frizzy. (“b)nnß
According to Kiehl’s, Heat-Protective Silk Straightening Cream is created especially for wavy, frizzy or curly hair in need of smoothing, contains a blend of natural ingredients to help straighten out hair and tame frizz without weighing hair down. Humidity is locked out and hair is protected from over drying and breakage.
Direction for use: apply evenly to damp hair, from scalp to ends, keeping most of the product at the ends. Blow-dry evenly with a brush to straighten out hair. Apply on dry hair for control and shine.
It has kind of herb scent with a hint of menthol, quite refreshing and the fragrance doesn’t linger on hair by the way. The cream texture is moisturizing, light weighted and best of all, non-greasy. Frankly speaking, I’ve no idea why it called straightening.
**++ Testing ++**
The night before – applied the Heat-Protective Silk Straightening Cream onto damp hair then blow-dry. I didn’t try to blow it straight, just brushing it with fingers. The hair was incredibly soft!
Next morning – Dry hair
Next morning – After applied with Heat-Protective Silk Straightening Cream, hair appeared more moisturizing and less frizzy
No straightening but the hair volume, hair waves and the softness were well-retained, hair is easier to manage and style as I wanted. It’s best to apply on day and night for optimal result. As a whole, çnn(d”) I LÖVË it!
