Purederm Korean Herb Masks (For dry skin)

Posted on: April 14, 2010

I hardly pay for premium mask sheet because they are too pricey for one-time usage. Meanwhile drugstore masks are getting better and better value for moisturizing and whitening care normally. Purederm is one of the brand name under Adwin Korea Group, the range sold at Watsons pharmacy Thailand is including Hydrating (purple color), Moisturizing (yellow color), Brightening (pink color) and Refining (green color). Other than Refining Herb Mask is for oily/combination skin, the rest are all aim for dry skin.

The masks were on sales at that time, “Buy one get another one for THB1”, total THB100 for both. Normal retail is THB99/piece, which I might not interested in getting one, but the promotion surely tempting. From their ingredient lists, only the type of herbs is different for different purposes. Personally I think oilier skin can use this as well, as long as the skin is not having inflamed spot/blemish, and the essence is always optional whether to rinse off or not.

Leave the mask on cleansed face (I also spray a mineral spray on skin) for 15~20 minutes. Avoid using on blemishes, pimples, irritated or sunburned skin. The packaging doesn’t indicate clearly if it has to be rinsed off, but when the skin is prone to be sensitive, I suggest rinsing it off to minimize the risk of irritation.

A very mild herb scent when newly opened the mask. All three masks delivered modest moisturizing result and my complexion appeared soft illuminating. The mask essence wasn’t sticky but quite slippery. Just the Moisturizing one was taking slightly longer time to absorb compare to Hydrating and Brightening. However, I actually most happy with Moisturizing mask, not forget to mention my skin still looked radiant in next morning. On the other hand, I’m most disappointed with Brightening one, there is no intense brightening result like some other drugstore masks I’ve tried, such as Neutrogena and Scentio Honey mask.

As a whole, I’m satisfied with their good value and they didn’t irritate my skin or eye, so I had repurchased it during the sales. Expiry date is 3 years from the manufacturing date, not bad since I got this within 3 months from the manufacturing date.

Rating: ….)))    Good. May buy again.
