Japan drugstore brand – Bihada Ichizoku has been introduced by Watsons (TH) pharmacy last year. The series included cleansing gel (makeup remover), facial wash (it is soap-based), gel cream (I’m reviewing now) and three types of sheet mask (Whitening, hydrating and anti-aging).
The girly image of Bihada Ichizoku reminded me of story painting books in childhood. There were exactly big, round sparkling eyes, wavy blonde hair tied with silky ribbon, princessy dressing, either surrounded by lots of flowers or she was playing with cutey animals. Well, all that still looked appealing to me today that I couldn’t resist to get one. The price of the range is excitingly below THB700. Only pity the princess “ran away” like Cinderella after tore off the sealing film.
From the product label, Bihada Ichizoku Finishing Aqua Gel Cream contains lightening, hydrating and soothing properties to improve skin microcirculation and reduce the dryness appearance. It can be a makeup base or both facial and body moisturizers. That also explains why it comes in such generous amount, 130g.

After spreading for few seconds
Slowly massage until dew-in-gel
Apparently the consistency is gel-liked, a light gel turn out to be dew-gel eventually. Upon massaging on, it’s slippery smooth like non-sticky egg white, due to the wet dew, it takes a while to settle on skin properly. A tad cool feeling and the skin appears softly matted, slippery smooth to touch and moderately moisturized.
During nice weather, my skin is well-balanced and it worked beautifully on normal skin. With this alone, my skin was non-oily and non-drying for entire day. In other circumstances, oilier skin may find it a tad greasy, drier skin definitely need extra, sensitive skin won’t find it soothing enough.
The texture transformation might be affected by skin/surrounded temperature. Referring to below attached picture, I left the gel-cream on hand for few minutes, apparently they just remained in the way that I wanted them to be, it needs higher temperature in order to melt it (the testing day was cloudy and cool). In hot weather, it turns to dew-like easily. Anyway, the thinner the texture, the easier it becomes dew-like.
Left to right: Gel > Spread > Aqua-gel
Unfortunately, my skin is easily getting blackheads with this type of gel texture, so I put this for body mostly. With the cooling, refreshing watery feeling, this is a pleasant and effective one for body hydrating in summer.
Depending how you use it, it basically lasted me few months. Bihada Ichizoku Finishing Aqua Gel Cream is retailing at THB680/130g in major Watsons pharmacy here, I bought this after 10% discount.
Rating: ….))) Good. Unlikely to buy again.
