Beautyknot ~ My Skin Care Diary

Archive for March 12th, 2010

According to Dior, this is a luxurious, nourishing cream to boost elasticity & firmness for skin with rich blend of active ingredients. Optimizes regeneration to fill wrinkles over night. Skin appears smooth, soft, fresh & youthful in the morning.  As I only tested a small sample size of this, so my review here is solely based on the few days sampling.

The texture is quite heavy, reminded me of L’Occitane Immortelle Precious Cream, strictly for dry and not acne-prone skin only. I spread a pea-size in palms before pressing it on cheek and used sparingly for oilier T-zone. The cream has very strong perfumy fragrance, tolerateable since I always used tiny amount. It leaved a moisturizing film on skin that might be greasy at the beginning, but once the film is fully settled, skin is lovely smooth to touch. Somehow, though it is truly moisturizing, but when I used this alone after toning, my skin did not feel totally comfortable.

There was a short period that I am over stressful and the Lancome moisturizers I had used at that time were unable to restore a fresh complexion the morning after. Glad this Dior Capture R60/80 XP Wrinkle Correction Night Creme did the trick. The change was outstanding that I couldn’t ignore. I re-gained the rosy and fresh complexion in the next morning when every other routine were unchanged, only a switch of night cream. The effect is not consistent, but at least it able to show the positive effect in few days.

Everything seemed fine until it gave me a red bump on forehead on the 2nd day. This is way too rich for me, probably not for my age as well. Besides Dior Capture R60/80 XP Wrinkle Correction Night Crème (THB4500/50ml), the anti-aging series is also included Capture R60/80 XP Nuit Overnight Recovery Concentrate (THB4600/30ml). I am sure the combination of both item is suitable for dry and mature skin only.
