Beautyknot ~ My Skin Care Diary

Archive for February 8th, 2010

Many of Estee Lauder products are either too strong for my skin/nose/age or simply overpriced here, though few of them are very pleasant to use. I’ve tried moisture cream and gentle facial cleanser of the Asia exclusive Cyber White EX series, and actually quite delighted with them. About this Cyber White mask, I had read many good raves about the discontinued one, but I never tried so cannot compare it with this new replacement.

Direction for use: Leave the mask on cleansed face for 10 minutes. Tissue off. Rinse with water.

This mask also has signature floral scent of Cyber White EX series. Quite surprise when I realized the white clay isn’t conventionally drying, in fact it’s soft and creamy. A mild cooling sensation when applying on skin. After few minutes, the moisture of the clay seemed to be absorbed by skin, thus the clay looked really “thirsty”. However, the soft clay neither dried out nor tightens the skin, it can be tissued off just effortless. The skin was feeling slippy during the rinsing and it left a smooth and moisturizing film on skin, which didn’t cause any discomfort feeling.

Sometimes it caused mild redness right after rinsing, but eventually the complexion would gradually became subtle illuminating and more even toned in a minute. Dull skin appeared supple, smooth, well-moisturized and rejuvenated. Nevertheless, when the skin wasn’t prone to dullness, I didn’t notice any intense illuminating effect besides moisturizing and minor purification.

As I stored the mask in refrigerator, the texture might become thicker and slightly harder but it turned out to be soft and moist with skin temperature.

Being a prestigious brand, Estee Lauder knew very well the importance of sensuous luxury. I’m happy my HKD52/15ml is well spent, but not for the price of full size.
