Kanebo Impress Creamy Soap

Posted on: February 3, 2010

When Kanebo uses “soap” for the naming, indeed their facial wash is soap-based. Base on common understanding, soap-based facial wash is best for healthy oilier skin for refreshing cleanse. Drier or sensitive skin possibly finds soap-based facial wash too drying. I used soap-based mostly, especially in sultry sunny weather, that was feeling great for my combination skin. Considering extremely serious skin care, I would consider non soap-based facial wash after I finish my existing cleansers.

Kanebo Impress Creamy Soap has creamy consistency, very thick and rich. It works into creamy lathers easily, not very foaming, leaving skin squeaky clean. Depend on humidity and water temperature, this could be drying. I tested this in both humid and dry months, it was pretty drying in dry month while it works fine in humid month.

From the simple cleansing test, the makeup was about 80% removed by this, so that was good enough for normal cleansing. THB1800/125g is highly priced for a daily facial wash, but it may also overpriced in Thailand. Nonetheless a facial wash can easily last quite a long time, if you enjoy nobby Japanese facial wash experience, may be this is one of the alternative. Honestly, many low-priced Japanese cleansers did as good as it, probably fragrance makes a distinct difference here.

Shimmering lipstick and waterproof mascara

Massage the foam on makeup for 15 seconds, lipstick was dissolved easily, but not the mascara. Rinsed off with water and patted dry. Minimum glitter-particles and lipstick, together with mascara were still visible.

My 15 years daughter uses impress facial wash . She has slight pimples now. Can she use this foam. Please advise. Thanks.

Hi Shanti,
I cannot tell if this cleanser can do any good to your daughter skin but I guess it is okay to use based on logical sense.
I have this but personally found it a little drying for my mature skin. (“v)
