No doubt cleansing oil is definitely efficient for any makeup removal, but most of them either contribute blackhead or can not remove blackhead satisfactory. I always use kitchen grape seed oil again after cleansing oil, just to surface the blackhead properly and prevent over-dryness of second cleansing. Sounds tedious, but that is what I had been practicing recently, and I loved to do so for clearer skin.
Nevertheless, cleansing milk is another good alternative here, particularly natural-based. According to L’Occitane, this delicate and smooth milk very gently cleanses, removes makeup and tones. Its no rinse formula prevents irritation caused by tap water. Skin is comfortable, supple and radiant.
The above picture shows 6 squirts of the cleansing milk, thus a squirt really a small amount. The milky-fluid consistency is feathery fluffy, very faint natural scent and feeling comfortable and moisturizing on skin. It leaves a glossy milky moisturizing film on skin, unlike a greasy film leaves by certain cleansing oils, this is as though I applied a hydrating light emulsion on.
Personally I prefer use it with hands. 7-10 squirts for each cotton pad, repeated 2-3 times, thus the whole removal process usually required 15-30 squirts in total. In case I need to re-do skincare/makeup for some reasons, this is really soothing with its no-rinse feature.
I actually found finger-massage is less irritating than cotton pad because I can do proper massage to clear off blackheads, leaving my skin refreshing, moisturizing and supple. However, with makeup on, that could be irritating due to excessive finger massage, most importantly this milky fluid isn’t thick and moisturizing enough for proper massage.
Despite its no water-rinse formula, I would still proceed with second cleansing to make sure there is no glitter-particles residue, a quick wash that only sweeping foam over face 5-10 seconds. Also, please do not use this for eye make up. Due to the milky consistency, it once slipped into my eye, resulting the eye stung madly. Not recomended for eye area.
For no-rinse method, obviously that is too much for my combination skin in the country I live (except mid-day cleansing and dry season). However, this cleansing milk save me a lot of tingle in harsh, windy, drying environment. I really fell in love with this in that situation.
On the other hand, the plastic packaging is non-heavy but also not feasible to take along for trip because the cap can fall off quite easily despite the bulky size. I noticed most of the L’Occitane product embedded Braille (if I guess correctly), definitely an extra effort for certain group of people.
Being an artificial fragrance, colorant, alcohol and preservative free cleansing product, together with no rinse feature, surely this is one of the gently cleansing ways for sensitive, parched skin. Nevertheless, I don’t think it will lasts more than a month if I use daily. THB1150 for 200ml, expensive I know, but I think this is worth to consider to stand by for fickle sensitive skin moment.
Rating: ….))) Good. May buy again.

Cleansing Test – with finger massage
(Shimmering lipstick and waterproof mascara)
Gently massage the milk for 15 seconds, wipe off with tissue. Lipstick was about 90% removed, but the glitter-particles and waterproof mascara were still there. Facial cleanser can remove the glitters-residue but not mascara.
With cotton pad, it cleanses much better.
