DHC UV care-main

Image from DHC

If you are looking for alcohol and fragrance free Japanese sunscreen, DHC’s may take into consideration. They are in the form of light milky lotion and very water resistant. Some people don’t like the white residue on face, based on my experiences, the intensity of whitish residue depends on the skincare base underneath, most of time the white residue fade off after a while.

DHC White Sunscreen

DHC White Sunscreen (SPF35 PA+++)

Any products marked for whitening care always have to pay extra. Contains Arbutin and oil-soluble Vitamin C derivatives. The consistency of this white sunblock is milky white, light weighted, easily spread over and build up a non-greasy film quickly. It leaves skin slightly white matted, smooth and fresh. The sebum control actually not bad besides it wasn’t very hydrating. If I read the ingredient list correctly, this is a physical sunblock.

As far as sensitive skin concern, I like this sunblock most amid the three although I didn’t buy its whitening selling point. The consistency of this sunblock pretty alike Kanebo Allie EX (500 baht/25ml) despite Kanebo’s isn’t 100% physical. DHC White Sunscreen is 980 baht for 30ml.

Cyclomethicone, Water, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, PEG-10 Dimethicone, Talc, Cyclopentasiloxane, Triethylhexanoin, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Methicone, Nylon-12, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Aluminum Hydroxide, PEG-9 Polydimethylsiloxyethyl Dimethicone, Phenoxyethanol, Butylene Glycol, Zirconium Dioxide, Pentylene Glycol, Arbutin, Tocopherol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Pentasodium Pentetate, Tricalcium Phosphate, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, Citric Acid, Silica, Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract, Silver, Magnolia Obovata Bark Extract.

 DHC suncut

DHC Suncut Q10 50+ Light Lame (SPF50+ PA+++)

No doubt this is one of the DHC all time best seller. Moisturizing yet light consistency. I love the skin is radiant glowing due to those very fine shimmering particles in the sunscreen, it serves a luminous makeup base to enhance the complexion. Slightly tacky once it dry out and it does leaves white residue as well. Unfortunately, my sensitive face stung upon application despite the cooling sensation, and my face wasn’t comfortable with it along the day. If you don’t have sensitive skin like me, this actually makes a brilliant makeup base cum antioxidant sunscreen to those that won’t mind white residue. 650 baht for 30ml.

 DHC body sunscreen milk

DHC Body Sunscreen Milk (SPF35 PA++)

I like this body sunscreen. Light consistency, spread over easily and moisturizing. It leaves slightly white residue, contains both whitening and hydrating ingredients. The only thing that I dislike is my skin feels tacky all day in hot humid day, but that’s okay if you don’t always have to touch your skin. Anyway, it was just so nice to use in air-conditioned environment. 660 baht for 80ml.
