Shiseido Revital Sample Reviews

I was given four pieces of Shiseido Revital samples and 7-pieces make-up brushes plus a brush pouch as GWP, but I’ll only review the skincare sample here.  In fact, I  was excited about those samples yet skeptical if their  effectiveness justifies the  expensive price tag.

The type I is for normal to oily skin type where type II is for normal to dry skin type. I tested Revital samples on both humid weather (24-32 deg.celsius, 80% humidity) and dry weather (20-29 deg.celsius, 51% humidity). Personally I like them most to be use in dry weather.

As I only tried the sample kit for about a week in total testing time, so my comment would not represent a final conclusion of the product, instead, more on preliminary stage. Hopefully my brief review will give you some gross ideas of the Revital line.

* Revital Cleansing Foam ll ( 100 ml, 1400baht)

Luxurious consistency and creamy froth, contains peachy tiny particles that will melt off when lathering in palm. Only 0.5cm for well-cleansed face, face felt comfortable and non-drying, though a little bit tackiness to touch after cleanse, but that didn’t bother me at all, I don’t even sense it if I don’t touch my face. The sample contains 7g which last for week.

Ingredients:

Water, Glycerin, Potassium myristate, Potassium stearate, PEG-6, PEG-32, Potassium laurate, Sorbitol, Polyethylene, Myristic acid, Stearic acid, Glyceryl stearate se, PEG-60 glyceryl isostearate, Sodium methyl cocoyl taurate, Lauric acid, Beeswax, Lauryl betaine, Dipotassium glycyrrhizate, Serine, Sodium hyaluronate, Trisodium edta, Talc, Ethylcellulose, Sodium bezonate, Fragrance, Iron oxides.

* Revital Wrinklelift Retino Science AA Lotion (125ml, 3200 baht)

This is transparent liquid-gel which contains abundant tiny opaque granules that will melt off when I massage into skin. In fact, I didn’t even sense the granule exists. Those tiny granules were micro-capsuled Vitamin A that can be carried efficiently into skin beneath without irritation. The light weighted lotion absorbs rather easily, face was soft glowing and silky to touch. This is more on treatment lotion, even it has alcohol content, but my sensitive face didn’t get irritation with it. The sample contains 7ml can last for a week.

Ingredients:

Water, Butylene glycol, Dimethicone, Pentaerythrityl tetraethylhexanoate, Dipropylene glycol, Alcohol, Behenyl alcohol, Glycerin, Retinyl acetate, Serine, Saccharomyces ferment lysate filtrate, Soluble collagen, Hydroxyproline, Prunus persica (peach) kernel extract, Curcuma longa (turmeric) root extract, Batyl alcohol, Carbomber, Trisodium edta, Helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, Bht, Potassium hydroxide, Acrylates/C10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Fragrance, Yellow 5.

* Revital Cream Science AA EX (40ml, 8900 baht)

This is super expensive! But it is nearly 35% cheaper in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia and Japan, why?? The more it expensive, the more curious. The cream is luscious, emollient, moisture that pretty alike Shiseido Bio-Performance Super Revitalizer. I found it too heavy to use in humid weather where it was just nice in dry weather, skin felt incredibly supple. It didn’t break me out so far, in fact, it cure my monstrous zits that caused by another cream in one night. Possibly the Revital Wrinklelift Retino Science AA Lotion is the one to cure the zit as I used the Revital lotion and cream together, but I couldn’t forget to accredit to this luxury cream as well due to its anti-inflammatory ingredients. As this is rich moisturizer, clog pores or blackheads might  inevitable. The sample contains 4ml, recommend for normal to dry skin only.

Ingredients:

Water, Hydrogenated c6-14 olefin polymers, Glycerin, Cetyl ethylhexanoate, Cyclomethicone, Butylene glycol, Dipropylene glycol, Erythritol, Microcrystalline wax, Disteardimonium hectorite, Isostearic acid, Squalane, Sodium chloride, Sodium pca, Glyceryl behenate/ eicosadioate, Stearyl glycyrrhetinate, Tocopheryl acetate, Arginine hcl, Magnesium ascorbyl phosphate, Mortierella oil, Bupleurum falcatum root extract, Zingiber cassumunar root extract, Soluble collagen, Hydrogenated lecithin, Saccharomyces ferment lysate filtrate, Petrolatum, Dimethicone copolyol, Trisodium edta, Cellulose gum, Sodium metaphosphate, Peg-30 soy sterol, Tocopherol, Ethylparaben, Butylparaben, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance, Iron oxides.

* Revital Neck Zone Essence (75ml, 2100 baht)

This refreshing essence settle into neck skin almost instantly, and the neck line looks less visible immediately. Amazing! Although the effect was only temporary but I wish I can try for longer period to verdict the actual effectiveness. Okay, wait I have extra money to splurge. The much cheaper product like L’Oreal Revitalift & Spot corrector might has same consistency and effect as well but not as dramatic as  this Revital neck essence. The sample contains 5g.

Ingredients:

Water, Cyclomethicone, Alcohol, Butylene Glycol, Dimethicone, Pentaerythrityl, Tetraoctanoate, Peg-20, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Glycerin, Tocopheryl Acetate, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Arginine, Natto Gum, Serine, Menthol, Fagus Sylvatica Extract, Gambir Extract, Turmeric Extract, Glyceryl Stearate Se, Behenyl Alcohol, Batyl Alcohol, Peg-60 Glyceryl, Isostearate, Polyvinyl Alcohol, Potassium Carbomer, Potassium-Acrylates, C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate, Crosspolymer, Sodium Hexametaphosphate, Methylparabem, Phenoxyethanol, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Fragrance, Iron Oxides

Overall, I was happy with those Revital samples. Except the Cream Science AA EX only ideal to use in dry weather for me, the rest could be nicely use in any weather. Neither skin irritation nor breakout from Shiseido Revital at the time I used them. Nevertheless, I felt like the line is quite overpriced, it’s best to try sample first.
