Kose Sekkisei is popular when come to whitening or brightening care that promises translucent skin like snow. I am not really fond of whitening product in the past because I already have fair skin. Being an Asian with yellow colour, I like very much that Sekkisei includes various oriental herbal ingredients from China and Japan. I rather believe in natural herbal power like an ancient women.
* White Powder Wash (RM105/100g)
Powder is finely-milled and is fast foaming. The foam is rich and creamy. It does give me radiant skin tone but I think it really dries out my skin after cleansing.
Main ingredients:
Sodium Myristate
Other ingredients:
Talc, Sodium Myristate, Potassium Myristate, Sodium Laurate, Potassium Laurate, Sodium Palmitate, Potassium Palmitate, Lauric Acid, Water (Aqua), Angelica Acutiloba Root Extra, Coix Lacryma-Jobi (Job’s Tears) Seed Extract, Paeonia Albiflora Root Extract, Perilla Ocymoides Leaf Extract, Polyphosphorylcholine Glycol Acrylate, Alcohol, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Methylparaben, Fragrance (Parfum)
* Sekkisei Lotion (RM138/220ml, RM220/360ml)
I was greedy that bought the 500ml limited edition on whim and regretful later because I found it contains high concentration of alcohol, which further dries my skin after application. This is a popular whitening lotion that received so much raves, it feels refreshing and the whitening effect is obvious in just few usage. It can be used as lotion-mask too. Kose sells paper mask that to be used together with this Sekkisei lotion. For use, pour the lotion on the lotion cap and put the paper mask (dried in pill form) into it, the paper mask will soak up the lotion quickly. Then unfold the dampened paper mask and place onto face carefully for 10 minutes. After removing the paper mask sheet, proceed the skincare like usual. After using half of the bottle, I reserved the lotion to soothe and heal my pimples, or use after blackheads extrusion. It has good anti-inflamatory effect after all.
