The light white sleek casing with classic silver printed double C looks utterly elegant! The premium black cloth case that printed with double C make it special too! Besides, I like the quality product booklet and the huge mirror too!
According to Chanel, White Essentiel Compact Foundation Enriched with a Vitamin C derivative, intensely brightens the complexion while leaving it perfectly even, smoothes out the skin texture, light-diffusing pigments help to conceal face imperfection for a lastingly radiant complexion. Silica micro beads prevent undesired shine, micronized airy texture leaves skin exceptionally soft to touch.
I do believe the powder is really fine, imparts non-powdery natural finish yet light-feeling. Even with multiple applications, the finish still looks natural, silky matted, imparts elegant skin tone. Pair this compact foundation together with Chanel White Essentiel Whitening Modeling Effect Base help to enhance the complexion with a hint of glow.
The compact foundation should be apply dry as Chanel suggested. The coverage of the compact foundation is buildable from sheer to light medium, so it will reflects your true skin tone, in other words, skin will looks dull when the skin tone is dull, skin will looks subtle luminous when skin is glowing. This actually happen to any foundation except medium to full coverage foundation.
Not exactly long-wearing. As the White Essentiel Compact Foundation is drying on face, I must prepare an excellent moisture base before this compact foundation. Therefore, I don’t use this alone now, after several trial, I realized It works beautifully with Clinique SuperMoisture Foundation because of the non-powdery features.
The sales assistant advised 20 beige rose for my pinky tone, whereby the lightest shade 10 is towards beige-yellow tone. It looked natural on me during testing at the beauty counter, however I didn’t really satisfied with shade 20 because it appears too dark on me sometimes. Another issue is the makeup sponge. I use cleansing oil or soap to cleanse the sponge, after two cleansing, the sponge gets sick! There are blueish-grey dark spots shown on sponge while my Fancl makeup sponge never has this problem after many cleansing in 9 months.
Last but not least, a friendly but important note, if you have flawless and moist skin, then Chanel White Essentiel Compact Foundation may worth to try if you like Chanel, else, you probably end up a base makeup which reveals/exaggerates all your skin imperfections clearly when too much sebum secretion or skin loss its moisture after few hours or other reasons especially in hot and humid day.
Chanel White Essentiel Compact Foundation costs me RM190 in Malaysia, including case. Not my favorite, seldom use this and still has 90% left after 3 months.
